Moving Forward


I often observe how many of us view medicine as a kind of pitstop on the racetrack of life. We run to the doctor or to some freaky alternative practitioner, often with our own diagnosis, grab whatever we think we need to get and then race back into the race as fast as possible.

For the most part, that race is about speed. Yet very few of us pay attention to the direction we’re going or consider that the entire race takes place on a track that goes around in circles.

Forward only happens when we can move beyond getting our emotions, mind and body into a state of peace and health. It takes a lot of preliminary work to integrate the self, let go of the self and move forward. This is when we begin our real work…
